Our air conditioning was on the fritz last week. I spent two days in hell. In the 120 degree heat of my attic while repairing the AC unit, my delirious mind was awash in thoughts of playing Diablo 3 on my PS3. My mind also was filled with anxious wonderings about the day of interviewing I had just finished at Blizzard HQ.
I finally got the AC fixed, and descended into the house and closed up the entrance to hell. I slept well that night, in a cold frosty blizzard-like room.
When I woke up, I got the call, from a recruiter at Blizzard. They liked me, and they wanted to extend me an offer. My third attempt over a five year period, and I finally found a role I lined up with perfectly.
Software Engineering Manager – Battle .net has a nice ring to it eh?
To say I’m excited beyond belief would be putting it mildly. I’ve been wanting to work at Blizzard for the last 10 years. I’ll now be reunited with a lot of my GameSpy peeps.
